Together with The Nature Conservancy, the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), Backus and the San Pedro de Casta Rural Community, we were able to strengthen the water resources of the San Mateo de Huanchor Rural Community through the construction of a dam to store rainwater in the Pullhua sector and its subsequent infiltration into the aquifer.
To build a dam that
allows to store water in a micro-reservoir with dual purpose, storage and infiltration of rainwater,
to infiltrate the aquifer and contribute to the improvement of
the quality of life of the
inhabitants of San Mateo
of Huanchor.
