In Peru, high Andean communities are guardians of the water sources that supply millions of people in Lima and Callao. However, they face the impacts of climate change: irregular rainfall, prolonged droughts and degradation of ecosystems that jeopardize water security and the well-being of thousands of families.
The Public Investment Seedbed is the platform created by Aquafondo to train and empower community leaders and local authorities, providing them with the necessary technical tools to turn their ideas into viable public investment projects (PIP). In this way, we strengthen local capacities and mobilize state resources towards solutions for natural infrastructure, technified irrigation and ecosystem conservation.
