Each inhabitant of Lima has an average of only 90 m³ of water per year, an alarming figure compared to international standards. To address this shortage, Aquafondo, the Water Fund for Lima and Callao, promotes solutions based on nature and rescues ancestral technologies such as amunas and qochas. These actions strengthen water security, benefit high Andean and urban communities, generate employment and contribute to resilience in the face of climate change.
