Our objective
To reduce the gap of unconditioned surface area for water recharge from precipitation.
We rehabilitate amunas, qochas and bofedales that recharge water to the subsoil, strengthening communities and water reserves.
We train leaders and young people committed to water, promoting programs that educate, inspire and promote sustainability.
We strengthen food security with technified irrigation and sustainable practices that care for the environment and ecosystems.
We develop projects that provide safe, quality water, improving health and reducing water gaps.
Political, social, economic and administrative processes and structures used to develop, regulate and manage water resources.
We encourage companies to manage water sustainably, strengthening their competitiveness and generating shared value in the territories where they operate.
With support from Backus, we executed the project Preventive and corrective maintenance of 48.94 km of rehabilitated amunas in four communities in the Santa Eulalia River sub-basin. This project responds to the need to ensure the proper functioning of the rehabilitated amunas between 2018 and 2024 with funding from our partner, being that they are ancestral infrastructures that remain exposed to extreme weather conditions and natural wear since the beginning of their operations.
Its execution was carried out in coordination with the rural communities of San Pedro de Casta, San Lorenzo de Huachupampa, Santiago de Carampoma and San Juan de Iris. Preventive maintenance included the removal of weeds, de-silting of catchment points and improvement of natural infiltration areas. Corrective maintenance included the repair of damaged sections, the reinforcement of critical sectors, the recovery of hydraulic infrastructure and the treatment of erosion areas (gullies).
