From Aquafondo, the Water Fund for Lima and Callao, we grant the Water-Responsible Company (EHR) 2025 Seal to organizations that are implementing significant actions to ensure sustainable water management in their intervention territories. This recognition, supported by the Global Water Partnership South America, demonstrates the strategic role of the private sector in protecting basins and promoting solutions that strengthen the country’s water resilience.
This 2025, we distinguish projects implemented in regions such as Lima, Áncash, Cajamarca, Loreto, and various high Andean areas, where business commitment is generating positive environmental and social impacts.

Category – Water Innovation: technologies that drive water efficiency
In this category, we recognized companies that have developed innovative solutions to optimize processes and reduce their water footprint:
Fenix
In Chilca, they implemented a system that converts seawater into water suitable for domestic use, providing safe access in coastal communities.
Orygen
In Moquegua, they incorporated a dry cleaning system for solar panels, reducing water use in conditions of high energy demand.
Esmeralda Corp
In Lima, they implemented a circular economy model that reuses industrial and domestic wastewater in the irrigation of urban green areas.
Cía. Industrial Nuevo Mundo
In Metropolitan Lima, they reused water from their production processes and promoted the replicability of the model in educational institutions in the city.
Netafim Perú
They promoted precision irrigation technologies that strengthen water efficiency in agriculture in various regions of the country
Rotoplas
They optimized water use in their industrial processes and supported vulnerable populations with infrastructure and awareness.
Tecnofil
They implemented water recovery systems in their industrial plant, reducing liquid waste and improving their operational performance in Metropolitan Lima.
Newmont & Asociación Los Andes de Cajamarca
They digitized the management of drinking water in rural communities, strengthening the control, monitoring, and administration of the resource.

Category – Nature-Based Solutions: ecosystem recovery and ancestral knowledge
We recognized companies that promote the protection and recovery of fundamental ecosystems for water recharge:
Backus
They rehabilitated amunas and articulated community participation in the maintenance of ancestral water infiltration systems in high Andean communities of Lima
PepsiCo
In Huarochirí, they executed actions for the rehabilitation and maintenance of amunas in high Andean areas, strengthening water availability in dry seasons.
ENGIE Perú
They implemented gravity irrigation infrastructure that supports agricultural productivity and optimizes the use of water resources in the Áncash region.
Pavco Wavin
They promoted technified irrigation in high Andean areas, strengthening water autonomy in San Juan de Iris (Lima).
Grupo AJE
They developed conservation actions for Amazonian forests in Loreto and Cusco that protect vegetation cover and the associated water cycle.
Coca-Cola
They recovered amunas in Zárate and Pucusana, reinforcing the natural infiltration of water and benefiting high Andean and urban populations downstream.

Category – Water Culture: education, governance, and community participation
In this category, we highlight organizations that strengthen capacities and promote responsible practices in the use of water:
Softys Perú
They implemented access to safe water, hygiene infrastructure, and educational programs aimed at the well-being of vulnerable communities in Lima
Nestlé Perú
They installed safe water collection and distribution systems for livestock associations and milk-producing families in Cajamarca.
CBC Perú
They trained community leaders in Lima in the design and management of water projects, promoting an active and strengthened citizenship.
GCM Perú
They developed a school hydroponics program with treated water in Ica, involving students and teachers in sustainable practices.
PepsiCo
They developed a Positive Agriculture strategy, aimed at promoting regenerative practices and water efficiency in the agricultural chain of seven regions of the country.

Each recognized organization demonstrates that responsible water management is a priority when innovation, nature, and education are integrated. Together, these projects strengthen water security, improve the quality of life of communities, and contribute to the sustainability of Peru’s basins.
