In a context where water security is positioned as one of the main challenges for Latin America, Aquafondo and the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción present the virtual course “Sustainable Management of Water Resources in Chile and Peru“, accompanied by a scholarship program aimed at professionals and students from Peru, Chile and Argentina.

This initiative seeks to strengthen capacities on key issues such as integrated water resources management, climate change, nature-based solutions and water governance, providing concrete tools to address current challenges from the territories.

Training with real impact

We designed the course for those already involved or seeking to become involved in water management: public officials, private sector professionals, academia, social organizations and community leaders.

Its practical approach allows participants not only to acquire knowledge, but also to apply it directly to projects, policies and initiatives related to their local contexts.

For the awarding of scholarships, we will prioritize profiles with capacity for advocacy, implementation and commitment to territories facing water challenges, thus promoting a multiplier effect of knowledge.

A teaching team with regional experience

Our course has an outstanding team of specialists with extensive experience in water management:

  • Mariella Sánchez Guerra
  • Yván López
  • Claudio Reyes
  • Sergio Contreras
  • Pamela Quino

His experience combines academic work with the implementation of solutions in the field, which guarantees a training connected to reality.

The Aquafondo experience

In this course we are taking this experience and putting it at the service of regional training, strengthening collaboration networks between countries.
