In a context where water is consolidating as a strategic factor for sustainable development, we launched in Argentina the Water-Responsible Company Seal (EHR) – 2026 Edition, an initiative that promotes the transformation of water management from the business sector.
The event was held on Thursday, March 26 in the city of Buenos Aires, with the participation of business leaders, sustainability specialists and strategic stakeholders from the productive sector. This launch took place within the framework of World Water Day, celebrated every March 22, reaffirming the need to move from reflection to action.
Aquafondo, in alliance with the Argentine Chamber of Water and with the support of Global Water Partnership South America, promotes this initiative that recognizes companies that are integrating sustainable water management as part of their strategy, generating concrete impacts on their operations, value chains and territories.
This month, we also launched the EHR Seal in Chile, advancing in the consolidation of a regional initiative that promotes a new way of managing water from the business sector in Latin America.
With these milestones, we are taking a new step in the consolidation of a model that is already being positioned at the regional level, promoting water management to stop being seen solely as an environmental challenge and become a strategic axis for competitiveness, resilience and sustainable development.
During the day, we generated a space for dialogue with key players in the water ecosystem, where we agreed on the importance of moving towards a common agenda based on articulation, innovation and joint action.
This space was led by three key voices: Mariella Sánchez, executive director of Aquafondo; Gonzalo Meschengieser, CEO of the Argentine Chamber of Water; and Eduardo Silva, general director of regional operations at IDE Technologies, who shared a success story that demonstrates that water management can and should generate real impact.
The EHR Seal is not just a recognition. It is a platform that drives continuous improvement, the measurement of results and the implementation of concrete solutions, aligned with international standards such as Water Stewardship.
The 2026 edition in Argentina opened its call for applications on March 26 and will receive applications until September 4. This process will culminate with a recognition gala in November 2026, where we will distinguish the companies that demonstrate verifiable progress in sustainable water management.
With the arrival of the EHR Seal in Argentina, and its recent launch in Chile, we continue to consolidate a business movement for water security in Latin America, connecting business, territory and water to build solutions with real impact.
