At Aquafondo, we continue to promote solutions for water security in the region. On this path, we launched the Water Responsible Company Seal (EHR Seal) in Chile, marking a new milestone in the expansion of this initiative that recognizes business leadership in sustainable water management.

The announcement was made in the framework of the ACADES 2026 Congress, one of the main public-private articulation spaces for water management in Latin America.

This new stage is being developed in partnership with the Chilean Association of Desalination and Reuse (ACADES), with the support of AWUA and the backing of the Global Water Partnership South America (GWP), consolidating the EHR Seal as a regional standard in corporate water sustainability.

The official launching ceremony was led by Alberto Kresse, president of ACADES, and Mariella Sánchez Guerra, executive director of Aquafondo, who agreed on the need to promote standards that promote strategic water management from the private sector.

A business standard with impact

Through the Water-Responsible Company Seal, we recognize companies that manage water as a strategic asset within their operations, promoting initiatives that contribute to water security, climate resilience and territorial sustainability.

Since its launch in Peru, we have achieved:

  • Mobilize more than US$57 million in private investment
  • To recognize 31 entrepreneurial initiatives
  • Promote water innovation projects

This approach allows us to promote that the private sector not only reduces water-related risks, but also generates value through sustainability and responsible management of the resource.

Alberto Kresse, President of ACADES

Our EHR Network present at ACADES 2026

In parallel, our Network of Water-Responsible Companies (EHR) actively participated in the ACADES 2026 Congress.

Member companies such as Newmont, Netafim and IDE Technologies, which have been actively leading this network, participated in this international meeting, sharing experiences in water efficiency, technological innovation and sustainable water management.

His presence made it possible to highlight the role of the business sector in water security and strengthen links with key actors to scale solutions and mobilize investment in the sector.

The event brought together more than 1,000 business leaders, authorities and international specialists, consolidating itself as a key platform to foster collaboration around water.

Through the EHR Network, we continue to promote a solid business articulation that drives concrete solutions to water challenges in the region.

A regional vision of water security

The arrival of the EHR Seal in Chile responds to a context where water management is a critical challenge for productive sectors such as mining, energy and agriculture.

In this scenario, we reaffirm that the private sector plays a key role in the implementation of solutions that allow us to move towards a more sustainable management of the resource.

The expansion of the EHR Seal reflects a conviction we share with our partners: water security is a regional challenge that requires collaboration, innovation and business leadership.
