We participated in the most recent Dialogue Circle of the Latin American Water Funds Partnership, a cooperation and knowledge-sharing forum that brought together water funds from across the region to jointly address the water challenges we share.
In that spirit, our Executive Director, Mariella Sánchez Guerra, shared Aquafondo’s experience: the lessons we have learned, the challenges we have faced, and the strategies we have developed to communicate the importance of water and mobilize citizens and decision-makers around its protection and sustainable management.
We also brought forward a conviction that guides our work: the diversity of experiences and case studies across the region is a strength. Aligning them with coherence is what enables us, as the Latin American Water Funds Partnership, to speak with one voice and expand our capacity for collaboration with other actors and initiatives across countries that pursue similar goals.
We remain committed to this collective effort because we are convinced that water unites us and that, together, we can do more to ensure its availability for both people and the ecosystems that sustain it.
